My name is Helen Yang and I am thrilled to teach at the Duncan Academy and have been with the school since March 2019. 

After graduating from university with a teaching certificate in 2008, I began working as a teacher. I also received my Montessori teaching certificate in 2010 in Toronto, Ontario and worked as a Montessori teacher for 8 years.

I teach Mandarin, Literacy, ESL etc. at our school. Teaching is a very important job and I am committed to creating and maintaining an environment where students can grow and thrive in academics while exploring Canadian life and culture.

In my spare time I like to read, watch movies and do lots of other activities. Most importantly, I am very happy and excited to work with students and to be part of the Duncan community!
